this game, which made
it to within two months of being complete, was what i've been working
on for the past year and a half. if you're not familiar with 100
bullets, it's a vertigo (DC) comic with an amazing on-going story.
it's been voted best serialized comic. i've become a big fan of
the series and the writer brian azzarello. you can find more about
the comic here.
on this game i held the role of technical character artist. basically
i oversaw everything that had to do with characters under the approval
of the art lead. |
: a n i m a t i o n :
| in-game cinematics
- towards the end of the project i was tasked with animating all
in game cinematics or cut-scenes. these differ from pre-rendered
cinematics in that you are using actual in-game characters, levels
and cameras creating animation "events" instead of one
continuous anim. each one of these "events" becomes a
part of that character's moveset and is then called up in code.
MUCH more difficult than animating and hitting render!! these following
anims are XBOX vid captures -therefore, no sound - so i put in subtitles,
just like the days before the talkies! *requires divx 5.2 |

the
poker room - the first cut scene of the game. cole breaks
into the back of carter salk's (shown) casino and barges in on
carter & his goons playing poker.

scary
g drive by - this opens up the city streets level. it was
this anim that was the reason i developed my automatic car rigging
scripts. they proved to come in handy since the vehicle went through
a bunch of revisions. i woulda been ticked if i had to re-rig
& re-animate this thing all those times!

"scene" - snow (shown) discovers who killed her
"mutha" - goldy petrovic. she sneaks into carter's mansion
and confronts goldy in the hottub with his three girlfriends.
